Journa Liz Servito-Ramirez earned a bachelor’s degree in International Cultural Studies-Communication, emphasis in Journalism, at the Brigham Young University-Hawaii (BYUH) in June 2005.

She is the second daughter of both educators, Mr. Domingo F. Servito, Department Head III at the Mapandan National High School; and Dr. Lourdes D. Servito, Principal IV of Calasiao Comprehensive National High School.

During her years in high school, she was very active in journalism as she was the editor-in-chief of her school’s newspaper the “Mapandan Star”, in her senior year; and a consistent staff writer and photojournalist. She yearly attended journalism workshops, summer journ workshops, and annually joined journalism competitions wherein she bagged awards in photojournalism. At her graduation rites, she was awarded “Journalist of the Year.”

In college, she was a part-time employee working on BYUH’s university newspaper the “Ke Alaka’I”, as a feature writer, news writer, and a layout artist.

In 2004, here in the Philippines, she performed a two-month internship at the “Sunstar”, a daily newspaper, working as a news writer.

Immediately after finishing at BYUH, she returned in the country and was employed as an English teacher, tutor, and a memory coach.

After the brief employment, she started managing the SERVITO’s KSS Learning Center at an early age of 24.

She is recently married to Mr. Khristopher C. Ramirez, and now an expectant mother.
